ReStore Overview

The Habitat affiliate office and the ReStore East are located 768 Belfast Road, near the Trainyards.

Don't forget about ReStore West, located at 7 Enterprise Drive, near Hunt Club/Merivale!

And coming soon - our new ReStore at 3 Iber Rd. in Stittsville! Opening in spring 2018, but don't miss our Pop-Up ReStore Furniture Sale from Nov. 17-19.

The ReStore is a retail store concept that accepts donations of new and gently used items and salvageable building materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. Items can include new and gently used furniture, building materials, appliances, cabinetry, sinks, countertops, household and décor items.

The ReStore then sells those items to the public at a reduced cost, typically 50% off the original retail value. ReStore donations and purchases directly support Habitat GO’s mission to bring communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.

New inventory is always arriving from a variety of generous supporters, so every trip to the ReStore offers a unique opportunity to discover a fantastic deal, a one-of-a-kind item, or the missing piece in your design inspiration.

Serving the Community:

The ReStores are owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity GO. The money raised from the sale of items at the ReStores helps pay for the overhead costs of operating the Habitat for Humanity affiliate in the Greater Ottawa area. Thanks to the support of the ReStores, every dollar donated to Habitat GO will go directly towards building homes and partnering with families in need of affordalbe housing.

Saving the Environment:

The Greater Ottawa ReStores divert more than 600 tonnes of waste from our local landfills each year. The ReStores recycle all cardboard and unusable metal, such as bent pipe and rusty hardware, that come in on otherwise good resaleable product. Useable building materials are sold to Ottawa residents at very affordable prices.

NEW! Our ReStores now accept donations of home and office electronics. The usable materials recovered from these products are recycled in Ontario through the Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) program by Sims Recycling Solutions. Go to for a complete list of acceptable materials.

Great Products. Great Prices. Great Cause.
